This is the first time that India has won any bilateral ODI series in Australia. India won the toss and invited Australia to bat in this crucial match. Thanks to the six wickets of Chahal, India dismissed the hosts for 230 in 48.4 overs. In reply, Team India scored 231 runs in 49.2 overs and the match and series of their names.
Australian Bowlers kept pressure on India from the beginning. Rohit Sharma was the first batsman to score 9 runs in 17 balls. The team’s score was then 15 runs in 6 overs. After this, captain Virat Kohli, who came to bat, worked with Shikhar Dhawan to bring Indian innings back on track. Shami bowled Billy Stankele and bowled the Australian innings. India made three changes in the team for the match. Vijay Shankar made his ODI debut, he was included in the team instead of Mohammad Siraj.
