The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been looking for a new secretary ever since Jay Shah was appointed chairman of the ICC. The term of Jay Shah will begin on December 1, 2024. In this case, the identity of Jay Shah’s replacement may be made public shortly.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Rohan Jaitley, the president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), might be the next BCCI secretary. In addition to Rohan, Anil Patel, the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association, is in the lead to become the next BCCI secretary.
Leading the race is Rohan Jaitley.
Anil Patel, the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association, and Rohan Jaitley, the president of the Delhi Cricket Association, are presently vying for the position, according to an India Today story. The selection of the next secretary will not be discussed at a special general meeting (SGM). The front-runner to succeed Jay Shah is Rohan Jaitley.
Shah first joined the Gujarat Cricket Association in 2009. On the other hand, Rohan Jaitley’s journey in cricket administration began about four years ago. He was elected as the President of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
