BBL to replace coin toss with Bat Flip toss in upcoming season 2018-2019
Big Bash League will be replacing the traditional coin toss with a ” bat Flip toss ” in it’s upcoming season 2018- 2019 edition that starts December 19. Instead of conventional “head’s or tail’s” call now captain will now calling “hills or flat” at the toss . it is inetrseting to see how bat flip for the toss.
for the first time history it going to be happen eariler bat flip method also proposed in test cricket matches but all board of cricket not accepted.
For the upcoming edition of BBL a specially designed bat will be flipped to decide the outcomes of the toss with ” hills or flat” part of the bat acting as two side of the coin.
The bat that flipped won’t be a average playing bat probability of “hill or flat” ensuring that the equally divided the probability of a coin toss stay.
For me it’s great moment which reflect what BBLÂ is about head to BBLÂ “Kim Mcconnie ” said
The Flip of bat derives from back street cricket and Mcconnie said some people don’t like change but I ‘d also challenge people to say when was the last time anyone watched the coin toss or really focused on it?
“I have got it great authority at our (bat- maker) kookaburra friends that this is tested and weighted bat to deliver that equality”. “Mcconnie” said.
Chris lynn is set to become the first captain to do the ” bat Flip ” when his side Brisbane Heat take on Adelaide striker at Gabba.and lets see how it gone be work during the time of toss .The bat that will use in toss is balanced by both sides and chances are like heads and tails.
