The Afghanistan fast bowler flew from his country to India for the new season of IPL. On Wednesday, he reached out to join the franchise team Chennai Super Kings as a net bowler. The team is currently preparing for the next season in Mumbai. Fazalhaq’s departure to join the team was inform by the Afghanistan Cricket Board. He will be a part of the Chennai team and will bowl legends like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa in the nets. Being a net bowler, they will not get a chance to play the match.
Who is Fazalhaq Farooqui?
Farooqui is a left-arm medium pacer. He was born on September 22, 2000 in Baghlan Province, Afghanistan. The 20-year-old bowler recently made his international debut in a T20 match against Zimbabwe. During this, he took one wicket for 27 runs. Farooqui had performed brilliantly for Afghanistan in the Under-19 World Cup. He then took five wickets in four matches with an economy of 5.12.

In a tweet, the board wrote, the young fast bowler left for India where he will join the franchise team CSK for the next season of IPL after leaving. He will join the team as a net bowler in the upcoming season.
