Former CSK fast bowler yo mahesh announces retirement

Tamil Nadu all-rounder and Indian cricketer Yo Mahesh , who played from two IPL teams, announced his retirement from all formats of cricket on Sunday 20 December 2020. Yo Mahesh played his last competitive match in September 2018, when he went on to play against Assam in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, after that he played in Tamil Nadu Premier League last year, but since then he did not get a chance.

Yo Mahesh, who turned 33 on 21 December 2020, has played 50 first-class, 61 List A and 46 T20 matches from 2006 to 2018, but has not had a chance to represent the Indian team. Although, he did get a chance to play IPL twice, but he could not redeem these opportunities much. He has taken a total of 21 wickets in 18 IPL matches. Yo Mahesh had a chance to play for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Chennai Super Kings.

Mahesh, announcing his retirement, wrote, “I thank the BCCI for giving me the opportunity to represent India at the under-19 and India-A level. It has been an honor for me. I Proudly call it the best time of my career. ”

He went on to say, “Thank you also to my two IPL teams – Chennai and Delhi – for showing confidence in me and giving me the opportunity to share the dressing room with great players. Yo Mahesh made his first-class debut against Bengal in 2006. In 2008, in the first season of IPL, he took 16 wickets while playing with the Delhi team. He ended his career with 253 wickets in all formats. He has also scored 1000 runs in first class cricket.
