Kuldeep hit Henry Nichols (28) and Ish Sodhi (0) in two consecutive balls in the 31st over of the innings. At one end, Doug Bracewell made some good shots, but the team could not reach the victory. Braswell completed half century in 35 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar caught by Shikhar Dhawan at the score of 57 runs. Braswell faced 46 balls with five fours and three sixes.

Thanks to half-centuries from openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, India scored 324 for 4 wickets against New Zealand. Rohit scored 87, while Dhawan scored 66 runs. Both of them had a stormy partnership of 154 runs for the first wicket. Captain Virat Kohli (43) and Ambati Rayudu (47) also did a good innings.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (48 not out) and Kedar Jadhav (22 not out) made an unbroken partnership of 53 runs in 4.2 overs for the 5th wicket, bringing India’s score to 324 runs. Fast bowler Trent Bolt (two for 61 runs) and Loki Ferguson (two wickets in 81 runs) was the most successful bowler for New Zealand.
