The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not released the official schedule yet but according to reports, Team India has to play 14 Tests, 16 ODIs and 23 T20 Internationals this year. This excludes the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

India tour of Australia (January)
The Indian team will continue their tour of Australia in January. The four-Test series is currently 1–1. Two more matches are yet to be play in the series. While The third Test will be played in Sydney, which starts on 7 January. The fourth and last Test match will be played in Brisbane from 15 January.
England tour to India – February to March
Team India will return home after the Australia tour ends. After this, the Indian team will host England in February-March. The England team will play four Test matches, five T20Is and three ODI matches against India on this tour starting on 5 February.
The first Test match will be play from February 5, the second Test match from February 13, the third Test match from February 24 and the last Test match from March 4.
The first, second, third, fourth, fifth T20 International matches will be played on 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 March in sequence. On March 23, 26, 28, three ODIs will be played in sequence.

IPL 2021 – April-May
The next season of the Indian Premier League is schedule to play between April and May. The IPL 2020Â played in the UAE between September and November last year. Due to covid-19, this tournament was organized outside India in empty stadiums. If conditions improve, then this year it can be organized in India.
India tour of Sri Lanka (June-July) and Asia cup 2021
The Indian team will tour Sri Lanka after the IPL ends. Here, the team has to play three ODIs and five T20 Internationals. The Indian team will remain there even after the series ends and will be part of the Asia Cup again.

India Tour of Zimbabwe (July)
After the Sri Lanka tour, the Indian team will tour Zimbabwe in July. Here the team will play limited overs series. The tour was scheduled to take place in 2020 but was postponed due to the covid-19 situation. On this tour, new faces can be seen in the Indian team.
IPL 2021: Rule may change in IPL and UAE out of contention
India tour of England (August – September)
After hosting England at the beginning of the year, the Indian team will tour there for a five-Test series. This series can be very challenging for Team India. It is also consider important for the Test Championship.
South Africa tour of India (October)
The Indian team will host South Africa in October. The Indian team will play a series against South Africa in October before the T20 World Cup.
ICC T20 World Cup 2021
India will host the T20 World Cup. The Indian team has so far won the T20 World Cup only once in 2007. This time on the home ground, the team will definitely want to win this tournament.
New Zealand tour of India (November-December)
Team India will host New Zealand for two Tests and three T20 Internationals in November-December.
India tour of South Africa (December)
The Indian team will visit South Africa at the end of the year where they will play three Tests and as many T20 Internationals.
