In the Governing Council meeting, the final decision will be taken on the date, venue and other things for the 14th season of IPL. These meetings are expected to be held next week. Let me tell you, last year IPL was organized in UAE due to Covid-19 epidemic. Talking to ANI on the IPL 2021 matter, a member of the Governing Council said that, the final decision on its date will be made in the meeting itself, but according to the proposal date given it will start from April 9 and the final match. To be played on 30 May.

Earlier, there was talk that IPL will be held in Mumbai but later it was reported that the IPL will be held in 6 cities. Now the question is, what will be these cities? According to the reports, BCCI will conduct IPL in 6 cities only. These include Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. Corona cases are steadily increasing in Mumbai. But despite this, the state government has said to provide full support to the BCCI.
Talking to ANI, the official said that, we are planning to organize it in more than one city. We are considering all possibilities and a decision will be taken keeping in mind the covid-19 epidemic. For us, the greatest priority will be the safety of the players.
