R ASHWIN ON CSK AND IPL MEGA AUCTION

R Ashwin said in response to a question on his YouTube channel that the team of Chennai Super Kings is close to his heart. He said, ‘CSK is close to my heart. For me it is like school. Here I took education of Pre KG, LKG, UKG, Primary School. But later I went to another school.’ He said that after everything is completed, I would also like to come home, but it will all depend on the auction. He said that things are not going to be easy in the auction. 10 teams will come with different strategies. Everyone has their own opinion. We don’t know if we will fit in any team’s playing-11. He said that if I go to any team as a professional, then I will try to give my 100 percent. Teams are spending huge sums of money on you and relying on you. I will not disappoint them. The command of CSK is with MS Dhoni in the current season as well.

90 wickets for CSK

R Ashwin made his debut for Team India in June 2010. He was with CSK from the initial phase of IPL. Till 2015, he took 90 wickets at an average of 24 in 94 innings for the franchise. But after the suspension of the team for 2 years, he landed for Pune (Rising Pune Supergiant) in 2016 and 2017.

During this he took 10 wickets in 14 matches. After this he landed in Punjab in 2 seasons. Before the 2020 season, Delhi Capitals traded him. But for the current season, the team has retained Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Enrique Norkia and Axar Patel.
