The price per match for the Indian subcontinent, which includes TV and digital packages, has gone past Rs 100 crore, according to ANI news agency. The auction for the first two packages has only taken the total price for the IPL media rights past Rs 42,000 crore.The e-auction will now be start on Monday at 11 am. According to the report of Cricbuzz, the cost of every single match of IPL has crossed 100 crores.
Which is well above the base price set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) – Rs 32,440 crore.
The media rights auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) cycle 2023-27 began at 11 am on Sunday and went on till 6 pm. Meanwhile the value of the rights per match of the tournament has crossed 100 crores.

BIDDERS
There is a competition between Disney Star, Sony Network and Reliance for the rights of TV. At the same time, Zee, Hotstar and Reliance Jio are in the race for digital rights. The report further noted that the value of digital rights is likely to be very close to the price of television rights. The base price per match was fixed at Rs 49 crore for TV and Rs 33 crore for digital. But so far, Rs 46 crore has bid for digital and Rs 54.5 crore for TV.
Base price per match as per package: Rs 49 crore per match in package A. Rs 33 crore per match in ‘B’. While package C with 18 non-exclusive special matches with base price of Rs 11 crore and package D Rest of the world rights is Rs 3 crore. The report further states that as per the rules set by the BCCI, the auction on Sunday went on till 6 pm. The auction of IPL media rights will also begin on Monday.
PREVIOUS IPL MEDIA RIGHTS PARTNER
It said that each of the bidders are making full use of the 30-minute interval and this auction has kept for two days. Star India were the current entitled to the IPL rights for the 2017–22 cycle. 16,347.50 crore was bid for both TV and digital in September 2017. Earlier Sony Pictures Networks had bagged the IPL TV media rights with a bid of Rs 8,200 crore for a period of 10 years during the start of the tournament.
