On Tuesday, November 10, Mumbai thrash Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final to win their 5th IPL at Dubai International Stadium and further strengthen their reputation of being the most successful franchise in the history of India T20 league.

With the record title triumph, Mumbai broke their odd-year jinx and became just the second team ever to defend their IPL title after Chennai who did it by winning the IPL in 2010 and 2011.

“It’s a great feeling. I’ve been here 11 years, the fifth trophy. No one sees the planning and training, it’s pressure playing for a franchise like this,” . KIeron Pollard said in the post-match presentation.



“The number of trophies, the amount of work, the amount of players who go on to play for their countries, I think we’ll have to say so [that this is the best T20 franchise]. Kudos to the owners and management. Long may that continue,” Pollard added.
