SLvENG: English Pacer mark woods 91 mph delivery ball, Mathew’s bat broke in two

Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews bat broke in  two pieces off Mark Wood at a high speed

The first Test match between Sri Lanka and England started on Thursday. England’s bowlers dominated the first day’s play and disposed of Sri Lankan batsmen cheaply in the first innings. The lethal bowling of the England bowlers can be gauged from the fact that Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews bat broke in  two pieces of the bat off Mark Wood at a high speed 91mph.

Actually this incident happened in the 10th over of Sri Lanka’s first innings. Then England fast bowler Mark Wood bowled at a speed of 91 miles (145 kilometers) per hour, which Mathews wanted to stop with his bat but the speed of the ball was so much that he broke the bat into two pieces. However, Mathews narrowly avoided losing his wicket here.
