The T20 World Cup matches to be held in Australia will be announced on January 21 this year. According to the ICC, the tournament will be held at seven venues in Australia, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
A total of 45 matches will be played at these venues from October 16 to November 13 this year.
The ICC said, ‘The T20 World Cup is to be held in less than 10 months. For which the matches will be announced on 21 January this year. With the announcement, the ticket sales for the fans can be started on 7th February 2022.
The final will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 13 November 2022. While the semi-finals will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and Adelaide Oval on 9 and 10 November.
The ICC announced in November 2021 that apart from T20 World Cup 2021 champions Australia and runners-up New Zealand, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan and South Africa will get direct entry into the Super-12. Namibia, Scotland, Sri Lanka and West Indies will play in the qualifying round.
