The remaining matches of IPL 2021 will start from September 19 : Report

 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has fixed the date for the resumption of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021) to be held in the UAE. The first match of the second phase will be played on September 19 while the final will be held on October 15.

The schedule of the remaining matches of IPL 2021 has arrived. However the T20 league was postponed on 4 May after the Corona case came. There were 29 matches in total. 31 matches are yet to come. Recently, the BCCI  told  in a meeting that the remaining matches would be held in UAE instead of India.

Remaining IPL 2021 matches start date

League matches will be held for the third time in the UAE. According to the information, the league will start from September 19 while the final will be on October 15. The entire 60 matches of 2020 were held in the UAE and Mumbai Indians became the champions.

Talking to news agency ANI, a BCCI official said that the board was looking for a window of 25 days to complete the matches. “The meeting with the UAE Board went well. Even before the special meeting of the BCCI, he had given his verbal consent to organize it. It was approv last week.

The league will start from September 19. The remaining matches will be held in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Efforts continue for foreign players

On the question of foreign players playing during the league, the official said that talks are going on with various boards and we have got a positive response from them. The official said, ‘Most of the foreign players will play in the remaining matches of the T20 league. If some players do not play, then a decision will be taken on them later. Hopefully the remaining matches of the current season will be in a great way.

Delhi tops with 12 points

The team of Delhi Capitals is on top of the points table in the current season.  Team led by Rishabh Pant has won 6 out of 8 matches. The team is on top with 12 points. The board is conducting the remaining matches so that the revenue can be met. Had there been no remaining matches, the board would have suffered a loss of Rs 2500 crore. This was stated by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.
